Final Window in Smart form
By Alka Khambra, Hitachi
are 4 types of windows in smart form:
we are dealing with the processing of ‘Final Window’.
the Final window
are processed from Top to Bottom as shown in smart form builder navigation tree
the processing of all the windows (non final) is done and after that Final
window is processed.
if the requirement is to have the totals of all the items on the first page but
its value is available after the end of the processing of the form at that time
final window is used for displaying the totals.
in the Main window Net amount is displayed
the totals are to be displayed in the main window, for this we need to calculate
totals at the end of main window and pass its values in the Final window. The
result will be as displayed
Use of Final Window
To display or
query values on the first page that are determined only during processing. For
example, you may want to name the grand total in the letter text of an invoice.
However, this amount is determined only after listing all individual items. Or
you may want to query on the first page within a condition the total number of
pages, which the system calculates only after processing all pages.
In such a case, you use the final window: Processing first skips all windows of this type in the tree and works its way to the end of the tree. Only after the actual processing is finished, the final windows are processed in the order in which they appear in the tree (from top to bottom). Now any information is available that is known only at the end of the form processing.
