Does a Smart Form generate 2 function modules?
Go back to the function module and click on Environment -> Function Module Name (On the menu bar). You would get the following message:
This is an extension to scenario 1. Go to the Smart Form created in the scenario 1.
Make some change in the Smart Form (Do not activate).
Click on Execute:
Here you could observe that a different function module name is shown here (earlier it was /1BCDWB/SF00000773).
Execute both these function modules and compare the output:
Output of /1BCDWB/SF00000775:
Output of /1BCDWB/SF00000773:
Now go to the database table STXFADMI and check for the entry of this Smart Form:
The field FMNUMB contains the function module generated when the Smart Form is activated. The field FMNUMBD contains the modified version.
Activate the Smart Form now. The content in both the function modules would be same now.
When we use function module SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME to get the function module associated with the Smart Form, we always the value from the field "FMNUMB".
