Extend the standard SAP IMG Implementation Guide

Scenario: Sometimes it can be useful to make your own customer-specific customizing tables. To group your own customizing tables together it is possible to extend the standard SAP IMG.

Prerequisite:  Create one customizing view and follow below steps to add it into IMG structure.

1.     Enter transaction code S_IMG_EXTENSION.

2.     You need to select/open the existing structure. Choose F4 help for Existing IMG structure and enter the search text in Title field. E.g. SAP Customizing Implementation Guide

3.     Select “SAP Customizing Implementation Guide”.

4.     Choose F4 help to select existing enhancements or create new enhancement. As shown below select create new button. This makes sure all enhancements can be grouped together.

5.     Enter the Enhancement ID a useful name and description..

6.     After filling in the package and transport request you will return in the ‘Edit IMG structure’ screen. Click on ‘Enhance Structure’ button.
