Find the main program for type I programs using Framework Programs

Introduction

When we want to find the main program for the TYPE I programs (Includes) we can use SAP provided utility called “Framework Programs”.

The main benefit of this utility is you can get the main program for given include without going inside of include and checking its Object list using “Display Object List” as shown below.

Let’s take one example to understand what Framework Program utility is all about.

Consider the scenario when you want to find the main program for include MC29CFD2_D0100_USER_EXIT. Generally what we do is open the include in SE38 and then click on “Display Object List” and get the main program name. However, we have utility provided by SAP called Framework Programs and using it we can get the main program name.

However, please note that this utility is not for other type of program except type I.
