Configuration Steps to Enable Pipeline Steps in SXMB_MONI

This document explains how to enable/logging pipeline steps in SXMB_MONI.  

Log in to SAP PI system

Go to TCODE SXMB_ADM

Execute the step Integration Engine Configuration  

Click on button Configuration  

Go to Change mode then click on New Entries

Enter the Category, Parameters, Current values as follows and save

Now go back to first screen of SXMB_ADM

Execute the step Error Analysis Settings  

Click on Create New Button  

Enter the Condition, Argument Exp. Date on Condition tab as follows  

Enter the Action, Argument on Actions tab as follows  

 Save the configuration  

Thus the configuration enables to log the messages in SXMB_MONI.  

APPENDIX  

The pipeline step/message logging has to be enabled to trace level 1 in DEV/QAS systems as per the developer’s requirements. But once the development and testing completed the trace level has to be set to 0. In PRD systems, enabling SXMB_MONI pipeline steps/Message logging is not recommended as it requires huge amount of memory to store the messages.
