Locking a Workflow definitionBy Snehalatha In
general, any workflow could be triggered with two different ways:
In the
case of “Triggering through some event”, we can try deactivating the
workflow using the event linkage. But how to restrict the workflow being
instantiated manually? To achieve
the above functionality, let’s create a simple workflow definition with a User
Decision step.
Save your
workflow definition. Click on
Basic data:
Now click
on “Agent assignment for task”:
Now select
your workflow definition and click on “Attributes”:
The
following pop up appears: Now select
the checkbox “Locked for instantiation”:
Save and
activate your workflow definition. Now when
you try to execute the workflow definition, the following message would appear:
