How to make a table field to store a lowercase value?

This article elaborates you how to
make table field stores lowercase values. By default it stores upper case
a demo table say ZDEMO_TABLE.

create new entries with the help of transaction SM30.
screen will appear. Click on New entries.

we want to store the entries in lowercase. Here are the steps to achieve this.
to the domain of the field to which you want to store values in lowercase.
on Change/display button.
the lower Case check box.
and activate the domain.
again create new entries with the help tcode SM30. Enter values and save.
Values will be stored in the given
Or Check at tcode SE16.
In this way we can make a field to
store lower case values.
Also, we can determine whether a field stores lower case value or not by checking the “Lower Case” check box of its domain. If this is checked then it will store both lower case and upper case. If it is not checked then it will store only upper case values.
